The Chamber currently meets once a month.

Is there a Membership fee?

Yes, a very modest annual Membership fee is due on the 1st March. If you join later in the year, the Membership fee is the same.

Tourist Questions

Where can Motor Cycles Park?

Motorcyclists may park at Central, Coach Park, Southend Road, and in designated Blue Bays for free. As well as, Seagate East, Seagate West, Cliff Top, Heacham North and South beach, all for free! However, charges still apply at South Promenade, North Promenade, and Valentine Road. If you park on the green, there is also a parking fee.

What is there to see and do?

Apart from the Beach, what is there to see and do? You could visit the SEA-LIFE Sanctuary, the Alive Oasis Sports Centre and Swimming Pool, or Paint-Me Ceramics in Westgate. You could also take a Seal Safari with Searles Wash Monster, or learn how to bake and decorate cakes at Mr Bun The Baker in the High Street. And, on a rainy day, why not visit the Amusement arcades? Where can I see a film or show?

The Princess Theatre is renowned for its Shows throughout the year, attracting many West End shows and Musicals in addition to the local Drama groups that also have some wonderful productions. There is also a Cinema Club where films are shown once a month.

Where can I Park?

There are six Car Parks in Hunstanton which are signposted. Central is on St Edmunds Terrace, Cliff is at the Light House, North Promenade PE36 6DZ, South Promenade on Beach Terrace Road PE36 5BQ, Seagate Road East and West PE36 5BD, Southend Road PE36 5AR, Valentine Road PE36 5HG. In addition, there are parking bays around the Town Centre but please note that these bays are restricted to 45mins only. This restriction does not apply to Blue Badge Holders.

What are the Parking Charges?

The charges vary depending on the length of time that you park. There is an hourly rate, a 3-hourly rate, an All-day rate, and an Over-night rate All Charges are clearly displayed at the Parking Metres. Also, it is possible to buy a weekly Rover Ticket which enables parking in ALL Hunstanton and Heacham Car Parks and King's Lynn Long-term car park which works out cheaper and is valid for 7 days.

Where can Coaches and Motor Homes Park?

Motor homes and Coaches may park in the Coach Car park on Southend Road, PE36 5AR. There is a fee to be paid.

What about parking for Blue Badge Holders?

Blue Badge Holders may park in the restricted 45 min bays with their Blue Badge without restriction. There are also designated Disabled Bays in the following Car Parks – South Promenade, Southend Road, Velentine Road and Central Car Park. Please note that Central Car Park has one designated space only.

When is half day closing or early closing?

From Easter to 31st October, Hunstanton is on normal business hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm or later, but from 1st November to Easter several businesses adopt "Winter Opening Hours", which means that they close earlier than normal; from 4:00pm onwards, sometimes closing at 1:00pm on Saturdays, and potentially closed on Sundays.

Is there a Farmers Market?

There used to be a Farmers Market at St Edmunds Church on the last Saturday of the month. Nowadays, there are various small markets, and the Sunday Market has also resumed.

Can I take my dog on the beach?

As much as Hunstanton is a tourist town, there are restrictions in the summer season for where dogs may be taken. Dogs are not allowed on the beach between the cliffs and the power boat launch ramp between Good Friday and October 31st. At ALL times dog owners must clean up after their dogs and keep them under control. The following nearby beaches have no Dog restrictions: Old Hunstanton, Holme, Snettisham, Thornham, Brancaster Staithe, Heacham, Holkham (allowed off lead past the dunes), and Burnham Deepdale (Marshes where dogs can run free).

How do I contact the Coastguard?

A day out at the seaside is supposed to be fun, but sometimes people get into trouble with the tides. In an emergency, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. Otherwise the telephone number is 01485-532597 and the RNLI can be found at Sea Lane, Hunstanton PE36 6JN.

Where is the nearest Doctors?

The nearest Doctors surgery is Hunstanton Medical Centre, Valentine Road, Hunstanton PE36 5DN. Tel: 01485-532859. The telephone line is open from 8:30am and 10:00am for on the day access and from 10:00am to book all other appointments or prescriptions. The Medical Centre is open until 6.30pm Monday-Friday with lunch time closing 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Clinics are open 9:00am to 12:00am and 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Where is the nearest Vets?

The nearest Vets is at: 95 Westgate, Hunstanton PE36 5EP. It is open Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 6.30pm. Consulting times are 9:30am - 10:30am and 14:30am - 18:30am.

Where will I find the Police Station?

Hunstanton Police Station is on the main King's Lynn Road. In case of an emergency, call 999 but for non-emergencies, call 101 or, alternatively go to their website and complete an On-line report and someone will contact you within 3 hours to 3 days depending on the severity of the situation.

Where is the nearest Dentist?

The Emergency NHS Access dentist can be found at 6 King St, King's Lynn PE30 1ES, Tel: 01553-769264. They ONLY offer "On the Day Emergency Appointments". You just need to phone at 8.00am and give them your details and they will offer you an appointment on the day! They close at 7pm. Most treatment is only temporary until you can get to your own dentist.

The nearest Dentist in Hunstanton is at 38 Northgate, Hunstanton PE36 6DR. Tel: 01485-532486. Currently they are not taking on NHS patients but only providing a Private Clinic.

Where is the nearest Hospital?

The nearest hospital is the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gayton Road, King's Lynn PE30 4ET. It has a 24hr A&E department. If you require an Ambulance for an Emergency, call 999, or for non-emergency help, please call 111. Should you need to contact the hospital for information the main switchboard number is 01553 613613. Visitors please note that there are Parking charges at the hospital.

Are there any trains?

At the moment sadly, the answer is No. The nearest Train Station is at King's Lynn and then your options are bus, taxi or car rental from there.

Which busses go to Hunstanton?

There are several busses that go from Hunstanton to King's Lynn, Fakenham, Wells-next-the-Sea and vice versa.
